What's inside
From one line to a picture worth sharing
A quote library, ready templates, an image editor, calligraphy and print-ready cards — all in one app, all behaving the same way.
A library of 1,508 quotes
Hand-picked quotes, captions, proverbs and duas in 23 categories — Islamic, literature, village life, the six seasons, rivers, folk songs. Search them, filter by language, keep the ones you like.
174 ready templates
Eid, Ekushey February, Pohela Boishakh, birthdays, business offers — open one, swap the words, and the picture is yours. YouTube thumbnails, Shorts and Reels covers and Facebook covers, each at its real size.
The image editor
46 gradients, any colour you like, or a photo from your gallery. Blur, brightness, contrast, saturation and a dim overlay keep the text legible over any picture.
A calligraphy editor
Gold foil, hollow, engraved, neon glow — eight inks and 12 ready styles. Bend a line into an arch and Bangla conjuncts and Arabic joining forms still come out intact.
Cards ready for the press
Visiting cards at 90×55 mm and ID cards at 85.6×54 mm, landscape and portrait. 3 mm of bleed and a measured safe area, with the cut guides drawn while you edit. Export a PDF or a 300 DPI image and hand it straight to the printer.
Name art
A picture worth sharing built around your name or someone else's — type the name, pick a style, save it and send it.
Fonts your way
Eleven Bangla faces, eleven Latin and five Arabic, each script picked separately. Your own .ttf or .otf — downloaded from anywhere — can be imported straight from the device.
Photos, stickers, motifs and frames
Several photos at once plus 32 stickers — drag to place, pinch to resize and turn. 50 motifs and 18 frames, all drawn as vectors, so they stay sharp at export size.
A daily quote and a home screen widget
One quote a day arrives as a notification at a time you choose, and the home screen widget shows today's quote the moment you unlock the phone.

What the app looks like
See it before you install — these are the app's real screens, not mockups.

Today's quote
The quote of the day, a row of templates, and the way into writing your own — all on the first screen.

The quote library
23 categories, each in its own colours. Filter by language, search, and keep favourites.

The template gallery
174 cards on 11 shelves — every tile is the real canvas, drawn at thumbnail size.

The template editor
Tap a layer to pick it, tap again to open it. Drag to move — it snaps to the centre and the thirds.

The image designer
Background, effects, font, colour, shape, photo, sticker, align, frame, layers — ordered by what you reach for most.

Calligraphy
Gold leaf, neon, engraved — a separate editor for treating one line as artwork.

Visiting cards
Cards measured in millimetres with bleed and safe-area guides. A PDF or a 300 DPI image for the press.
How it works
Three steps to a picture
- 1
Pick the line
Choose a quote from the library or type your own words. Starting from a template, you only swap the text.
- 2
Design it
A gradient or your own photo, then font, colour, frame, stickers and effects — until it looks right.
- 3
Save and share
Save to the gallery or send it straight to Facebook, WhatsApp or Messenger. For a card, download the PDF and take it to the press.
The collection
1,508 quotes in 23 categories
1,325 in Bangla and 183 in English. In the Islamic and Dua categories, 98 verses and duas carry the Arabic original, the Bangla meaning and a reference.

Templates
174 cards on 11 shelves
Every template is a whole canvas — open it, change the words, drop a photo in, save. They are drawn as vectors rather than image assets, so they stay sharp at any size.

Why Kothachitra
Light, private, and yours
Everything you make is made on your phone and stays there — no image, no text and no favourite is sent to a server.
Works offline
The quotes ship inside the app, so you can read them with no connection. Only Google Fonts need the internet, and only the first time you use one.
No account needed
No sign-up, no phone number, no email. Your favourites and the pictures you make stay on your own device.
Long text is never clipped
The canvas ratio is treated as a minimum height — a longer quote grows the canvas rather than losing its last line.
Bangla and English interface
Run the whole app in Bangla or English, with light, dark and system themes.
Questions
What people ask before installing
Is Kothachitra free?
Yes. The app is a free download from Google Play, and every quote, template and editor in it is free to use. There are no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no phone number and no email. Open the app and start using it — your favourites are stored on your own device.
Does it work without internet?
The quotes ship inside the app, so reading, saving favourites and making pictures all work offline. The internet is only needed the first time you use a font that comes from Google Fonts.
Is there an iPhone version?
Right now Kothachitra is on Google Play for Android only. If an iOS version arrives it will be announced on this site and in the Facebook group.
Can I use my own text?
Yes. Besides the library, you can type any text of your own and take it straight into the designer — the same backgrounds, fonts, colours and effects apply.
Can I add my own Bangla font?
Yes. “Add a font from the device” in the font sheet accepts any .ttf or .otf you have downloaded. The file is copied into the app's own folder, so it is still there the next time you open it.
Do the images have a watermark?
Quote and calligraphy images carry a small Kothachitra mark. Visiting cards and ID cards carry none — that is your own stationery.
Can the cards really go to a printer?
They can. Visiting cards are built at 90×55 mm and ID cards at 85.6×54 mm, with 3 mm of bleed and a 4 mm safe area. The export is a PDF at exactly that size, or a 300 DPI image.
Are the pictures I make uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is made on your phone and saved to your gallery. Kothachitra does not send your images, your text or your favourites to any server.
Are Qur'an verses included with the Arabic?
Yes. The Islamic and Dua categories carry 98 verses and duas with the Arabic original, the Bangla meaning and a reference, and Arabic has its own font picker.
What if I find a mistake or want a quote added?
Write to kothachitra.com@gmail.com or post in the Facebook group. Reported mistakes are fixed in the next update.
